Melissa S. Murdie, Brent Deso

Melissa S. Murdie, Rouses Point, daughter of Reginald L. and Cindy A. Murdie, Canton, married Brent Deso, son of James and Shirley Deso, Rouses Point, Sept. 5 at St. Mary's Church, Champlain.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Nicole Murdie, Canton, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristie Sibbitts, Canton, cousin of the bride, and Carmen Deso, Rouses Point, sister of the groom.

Heath Cardin, Rouses Point, friend of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Andrew Deso, Rouses Point, brother of the groom, and Chris Brunell, Rouses Point, friend of the groom.

Ashton Wright, Ellenburg, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Hunter Sibbitts, Canton, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception was held following the ceremony in the gold room at the Rainbow Banquet Hall, Altona. The couple spent a week in Disney World, Orlando, Fla., for their wedding trip and plan to travel to Ireland, Scotland and France in April.

Mrs. Deso is a 2004 graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School, Canton, and a 2008 graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh, where she received a bachelor's degree in sociology and criminal justice. She is employed by TD Bank, Chazy.

Mr. Deso is a 2001 graduate of Northeastern Clinton High School, Champlain, and a 2002 graduate of Hobart Welding Institute, Troy, Ohio. He is employed by R. Deso Inc., Champlain, a family-owned business.
