ADAMS — Muriel J. Mullin 78, of 9509 County Route 82, died Wednesday, November 11th, at the Samaritan Medical Center.

She was born December 21, 1930 in Adams the daughter of Henry B. and Bessie Wilbur, Adams. She was a graduate of Adams High School; she married Gordon E. Mullin October 22, 1949 in the Adams Methodist Church parsonage. Gordon passed away January 5, 2005.

Muriel worked as a telephone operator, a bookkeeper at Adams Agway and Thomas' (GLF) and she retired as the switchboard operator at Key Bank in Watertown. Following her retirement she worked as a floor hostess at the Samaritan Keep Home to be near her daughter Judy who was a resident in the home.

Survivors include her son, David of Adams; a daughter, Toni and Pat Plemmons of Florida; a sister, Jane and Chuck Krupke of Pulaski; three grandsons, Steve Tiller of Tennessee, Donald and Brian Tourville of New York; three great grandsons, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Gordon, a son, Gordon James (Jimmy), and a daughter, Judy Warner.

Her hobbies included bowling, playing bingo and visits to the casinos with her sister.

A Memorial Service will be Monday, November 16th, at 2:00 PM at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in Adams Rural Cemetery. A calling hour will be 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 425 Washington St., Watertown, NY 13601.
