RICHVILLE — Robert A. Pratt, 81, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at E.J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur.

Robert was born in Stone Mills on February 10, 1928, the son of Floyd and Florence Cratsenberg Pratt. He owned and operated a dairy farm on the Bigelow Road many years and also was a school bus driver for Gouverneur Central Schools.

He married Lucille Walker on May 24, 1952.

Bob enjoyed hunting, gardening, horse pulls, and spending time with family. He was a past chief and exempt member of the Richville Vol. Fire Department, a member of the United Church of Richville, St. Lawrence Valley Draft Horse Club, and B.P.O.E. Lodge #2035.

Bob is survived by his wife Lucille, four sons Larry and Ruth Pratt of Richville, Jay Pratt and his companion Brenda Figueroa of Alexandria, VA, Tim and Linda Pratt of Jacksonville, FL, Kent and Margaret Pratt of Canton, two daughters Marlene and Dave Hart of Richville, Janice Allnatt and her companion Charles Hale of Rochester, 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a brother Charles Pratt of Orlando, FL, two sisters Leah Trevett of Woodville, Patti and Mike Buchanan of Adams. He is predeceased by four brothers Fred, Percy, Jim, and William Pratt, two sisters Ella Smith and Pauline Robinson, a daughter-in-law Cathy Merck Pratt, and a granddaughter Sarah Pratt.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, November 14, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Dave Hart, pastor of the Presbyterian Stone Church of Ogdensburg officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Richville Vol. Fire Department or United Church of Richville.
