John E. Pelkey

POTSDAM — There will be no funeral services for John E. Pelkey, 62, of Midtown Apartments in Potsdam.

Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood Monday from 6-8 p.m.

Mr. Pelkey died Friday (Nov. 13, 2009) at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Surviving are one son, Edwin Pelkey of Massena; four daughters, Dawn and Craig Fuller, Betty Pelkey, and Jodie Pelkey, all of Norwood, and Johnnie Pelkey of Ogdensburg, 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann LaBarge of Norfolk.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Pelkey.

He was born Nov. 20,1946 in Potsdam, son of John and Lena McGregor Williams.

He was disabled most of his life, but in earlier years he worked for Elliott Lumber in Potsdam.

He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Potsdam, a member of the Sons of American Legion in Potsdam and a member of the Potsdam Moose Club.
