26 youths charged with underage drinking

Watertown police early Saturday charged 26 youths with underage drinking, most of them at a house party on State Street.

Twenty-four of the tickets were issued at 12:26 a.m. at 942 State St., according to police reports.

Twenty-year-olds charged were Andrew D. Ladouceur, Adam J. Houmiel and Jordan R.E. LeClair, all of 942 State St.; Joseph A. Pagan of 4355 S. Hycliff Drive, Apt. 603B; Seth A. Rowsam of 378 Arlington St.; Benjamin D. Disario of 24891 County Route 53; Jonathan W.G. O'Riley of 330 Gale St.; Connor J. Pinsonneault of 620 S. Hamilton St.; Matthew A. Barniak of 27772 County Route 160; and Dustin J. Francis of 107 N. Hamilton St.

Nineteen-year-olds charged were Danielle E. Shockley of 23155 Spring Valley Road; Daniel P. Magovney of 1105 Harris Drive; Cameron S. Miller of 4355 S. Hycliff Drive, Apt. 602D; Ryan L. Gentile of 169 Cedar St.; Dillon J. Goodfriend of 26502 Perch Lake Road, Dexter; Jacob E. Roes of 7643 E. State St., Lowville; Nikkia C. Raso of 10850 County Route 8, Chaumont; and Steven J.A. Gibeau of 35946 Route 126, Carthage.

Eighteen-year-olds charged were Jessica L. O'Brien of 249 Chestnut St.; Rachel M. Haring of 31383 Town Line Road, Philadelphia; Katie L. Hebert of 31592 Town Line Road, Philadelphia; Joshua D. Zehr of 7436 East Road, Lowville; Benjamin J.P. Freeman of 34411 South Lake Road, Carthage; and Daniel P. Mills of 20260 County Route 181, LaFargeville.

Police also charged Joshua L. LaJuett, 19, of 25675 Hines Road, and William A. Closs, 18, of 114 Warren St., Brownville, after allegedly seeing them with beer at 12:40 a.m. in the 700 block of State Street.

Police said Mr. LaJuett ran but was apprehended at 1:22 a.m. when he returned to the scene to recover dropped car keys.

Mr. Closs also ran but was caught soon afterward in an enclosed yard at 664 Emerson St., police said. He was additionally charged with third-degree criminal trespass.

All suspects are to answer the charges in City Court.
