SANDY CREEK — Arlene J. McDougal, 79, of Sandy Creek, died Nov. 12, 2009, at St. Joseph's Health Center in Syracuse. Born Oct. 17, 1930, in Woodville, N.Y. daughter of the late Leslie and Rena Murphy Munson. Graduated in 1947 from Mannsville School. Married in Sandy Creek United Methodist Church to Floyd J. McDougal on Nov. 6, 1948. They lived all their married life in Sandy Creek-Lacona area. Mr. McDougal died Oct. 14, 2000. Mrs. McDougal was a waitress at Snackery Restaurant in Sandy Creek.

Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and John Parker of Sandy Creek, and R. Colleen and Dan Mead of Lacona, three sons and two daughters-in-law Floyd "Joe" Jr. and Julie of Henderson, Kevin of Sandy Creek, and Jeffrey and Angela of Lacona, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers Robert and Roy Munson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sandy Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Denise M. Bowen officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Thrift Shoppe, P.O. Box 166, Lacona, N.Y. 13083.
