Man is accused of using

another's car without OK

Watertown police on Saturday afternoon charged a city man with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police said Jamar L. Cobb, 22, whose address was listed as 751 Waterman Drive, the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, shortly after noon Saturday entered a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu owned by Vaughn Karr, Watertown, that was parked at 100 W. Lynde St.

He was apprehended about five minutes later in the 500 block of LeRay Street, arrested and held on $500 bail.

Watertown teen accused

of stealing GPS from car

Watertown police on Friday afternoon charged Dakota T. Bedore, 16, of 420 Bridge St., lower apartment, with entering a vehicle at 300 S. Hamilton St. and stealing its $200 GPS unit.

Ms. Bedore was charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Police said the vehicle was a 2009 Subaru Forester owned by Leslie Benedict, Hogansburg.

Police on Sunday also charged Christopher C. Terry, 17, of 611 Bronson St., with petit larceny for allegedly serving as a lookout for Ms. Bedore and giving her a ride on his bicycle away from the scene.

Ms. Bedore and Mr. Terry are both to appear in City Court.
