■ LOWVILLE — The Lewis County Board of Legislators will hold its annual budget hearing at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the second-floor chambers at the county office building on North State Street.

■ LYONS FALLS — The 88th community Christmas tree lighting will be held Dec. 6. Festivities will begin with caroling at 4 p.m. at Whitten Place and at 5 p.m. at High Falls Apartments on Cherry Street. The group will then carol down McAlpine Street to the community's Norway spruce tree.
