Harold Wert

OGDENSBURG — Calling hours for Harold ("Junior") Wert, age 59, of 326 Deviller Street, Ogdensburg, will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Mr. Wert passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

Mr. Wert is survived by his wife, Linda; one son, Joseph, and his companion, Sarah Fregoe, of Ogdensburg; one daughter, Nicole Bouchey and her husband, Joseph, of Ogdensburg; one sister, Suzanne O'Marah and her husband Jerry, of Ogdensburg; one brother, Donald Wert, and his companion, Carol LaRock; two grandchildren, Shianne and Connor Bouchey; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wert was born in Ogdensburg on February 9, 1950, the son of Harold and Gladys Richardson Wert. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. He married Linda Sovie on July 14, 1984 at their home with the Honorable George Silver officiating. He worked at United Helpers Nursing Home in maintenance for 42 years.

Mr. Wert enjoyed bowling, watching the New York Yankees and looking after his two grandchildren that affectionately called him "Slowpoke".
