Blanche L. Foster

RENSSELAER FALLS — Funeral services for Blanche L. Foster, age 41, of Congress Street, Rensselaer Falls, will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Mishoe officiating. Burial will be in Rensselaer Falls Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Foster passed away on Saturday morning, November 14, 2009 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Foster is survived by her husband, Jeffery; a daughter, Jessie A. and a son, Justin A., both at home; her father, John White and his wife, Donna; her mother, Pauline White of Norwood; a brother, John White and his wife Terry, of Lisbon; a sister, Alyson White, of Norwood; her mother-in-law, Shirley Foster, of Ogdensburg; one stepbrother, Anthony Friot; a step sister, Wendy Friot, of DeKalb Junction; and aunts, uncles, several cousins and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert, in infancy.

Mrs. Foster was born in Potsdam, NY, on November 24, 1967, the daughter of John and Pauline Jandreau White. She graduated from Norwood-Norfolk High School in 1986. She served in the US Army. She married Jeffery Foster at the First United Methodist Church on February 10, 1990 with Rev. Martin Ayer officiating. She first worked for Compas from 1986 to 1988. She later worked at United Helpers ICF in Rensselaer Falls as a resident supervisor until her illness.

Mrs. Foster enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping, four wheeling, softball, volleyball, boating, snowmobiling, writing poetry and drawing.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Hope Lodge in Burlington, VT, the local SPCA and the Richard E. Winter Cancer Treatment Center.
