Mary Savage

HERMON — Mary Savage, 75, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

Mary was born in Gouverneur on May 31, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Mary McDonald Savage.

She attended school in Gouverneur and Rome. Mary has worked many years for St. Lawrence NYSARC.

Mary is a founding member of the Community Arts Program at NYSARC, enjoyed acting, drawing, playing games, spending time with her family and her cat, and attending church.

Mary is survived by her sister Florence Roy, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her NYSARC family. She is predeceased by two brothers Edward and Joseph "Bucky" Savage and a sister Margaret Fowler.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 18 at 1:00 pm at the Green Funeral Home, Hermon with James Snell and David Clark officiating and burial in Hermon Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
