PILLAR POINT — Louise A. Lee Robinson, a Pillar Point native, died in Albuquerque, N.M., November 3, 2009. Born Feb. 1, 1915, in Adams, she was the daughter of the late Milton R. Lee and Ethel Douglass Lee.
She graduated in 1933 from Dexter High School and in 1937 from Cornell University. On August 20, 1937, she married Dr. Wilbur J. Robinson. They lived in Danville, KY, where Dr. Robinson taught math at Centre College until 1974. He died on Aug. 31, 1990.
She was active in Centre College activities and Centenary Methodist Church, Danville. She served as Director of Family Services of Boyle County, KY. Louise helped start the Heritage Hospice in 1978 and was active in Habitat for Humanity.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce (Richard) Opsahl, Flat Rock, NC, Marie (Thomas) Kindt, Placitas, NM/Scottsdale, AZ, and Edee (Dale) Bauer, Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Marion) Lee, Dexter, NY; two sisters, Dora Gibbs, Princeton, IL, and Jean Schroy, Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Douglas, Chester, and her twin, Louis Lee.
A memorial service and internment will be in Dexter in July 2010.
