WOODVILLE — Marion J. Presley, 84, of NYS Rt. 193, Woodville, died Monday evening at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient for one week.

She was born in the Town of Ellisburg, May 10, 1925, a daughter of George and Esther Barney Thompson. She was educated in the Woodville schoolhouse. Marion married George W. Presley June 27, 1943 in Ellisburg. Mr. Presley died February 7, 1967.

Marion was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Woodville Congregational Church and the Belleville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George W., Jr. and Dorothy, Woodville. A daughter Barbara (William) Gorton, LeRoy. Five grandchildren, Robin Rabetoy, Joanne Kiblin, Tracey Biggs, Phillip Gorton, and Diane Robertson. 10 grandchildren. A sister, Jennie Davis. Many nieces and nephews.

Marion was predeceased by a daughter, Christina M., July 21, 1972. A sister Gladys Steele, and six brothers, Albert, Ralph, Lee, George, Ezra and Harold Thompson also died before her.

The funeral will be Thursday 2 p.m. at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with Rev. Gary Berry, pastor of the Woodville Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Belleville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary or to the Woodville Congregational Church.
