The Small Business Development Center at Jefferson Community College will offer a free workshop on programs to help small-business owners lower their energy us and save money on utility bills.
The workshop will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at the college off Coffeen Street. Kathleen George of National Grid's Energy Efficiency Service will talk about its small-business program, which can reduce electric costs by up to 30 percent.
Energy audits and recommended improvements for efficiency are other parts of the program.
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority also is sponsoring the workshop.
