ANTWERP — A Gouverneur woman died Thursday morning from injuries she suffered in a two vehicle collision on County Route 22 in the town of Antwerp.

Donna M. Niles, 49, of 451 Little Bow Road, was rushed by Theresa Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where she was pronounced dead.

State police said she was westbound at 7:30 a.m. when her car skidded on ice-slicked pavement and crossed the center line. The auto went into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by Bridgette J. Sharlow, 19, Chaumont, police said.

Ms. Sharlow and her passenger were not injured, police said.

Theresa firefighters and fire police assisted troopers at the scene.
