City man sentenced to four years in prison

A Watertown man was sentenced Thursday in Jefferson County Court to four years in state prison after admitting violating terms of Drug Court.

Scott J. Flora,24, address not confirmed, also will have to undergo two additional years of supervision upon his release from prison.

He was referred to Drug Court, a substance abuse rehabilitation program that serves as an alternative to incarceration, for a Jan. 22 guilty plea to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

He was accused in a grand jury indictment, unsealed Dec. 12, of selling heroin in late September 2008 and early October 2008 in Watertown. Information about what led to the Drug Court violation was not available from the court.

In other court activity Thursday:

Dana S. Buckingham,21, Watertown, had a June 2008 guilty plea to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance vacated and was allowed to plead guilty to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, for her successful completion of Drug Court.

She was subsequently sentenced to three years' probation. She was referred to the rehabilitation program in 2008 for a conviction on a charge that she sold cocaine in the town of Pamelia.

Lynnette S. Knudsen,36, Liverpool, was sentenced to 90 days in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, with credit for time served, for a December 2008 guilty plea to petit larceny.

She was accused of using a credit card without the permission of its owner, Timothy R. Plaisted, Fort Drum, to make purchases in August 2008 in the town of LeRay.

She failed to show up for sentencing in February and a warrant was issued for her arrest. She also was ordered Thursday to pay $1,438 in restitution in the form of a civil judgment.
