Mr. & Mrs. G. Timerman -- 50 years

DEXTER — Mr. and Mrs. Gordon E. Timerman, 328 E. Kirby St., are observing their 50th wedding anniversary today.

Mr. Timerman, son of the late Emory W. Timerman and Christine E. Cox, married Katherine M. Band, daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Band, Clayton, Nov. 21, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clayton.

Honor attendants were Paul Band, Adams, and Joyce Larkin, Clayton.

Mr. Timerman served in the Navy from 1954 to 1958 as a member of the Sea Bees Construction Battalion. He graduated from Dexter High School and Jefferson Community College, where he studied criminal justice. He was employed by the state Department of Transportation from December 1959 to August 1990 and as a Dexter police officer from 1970 to 1977. He is a member of the Smith-Savage American Legion, Dexter, CSEA Federal Credit Union, Dexter Historical Society and the Dexter Fire Department.

Mrs. Timerman attended Clayton Central School and was employed by Faichney Medical Supplies, Watertown, and General Brown Central School, Dexter, until retiring in 1990. She is a member of the Dexter American Legion Auxiliary, Dexter Historical Society and the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society.

They have three children, Deborah M. Timerman, Walworth; Darlene D. Cupernall, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and David G. Timerman, Columbia, S.C., two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
