CARTHAGE — Registrations are still being accepted for the Thanksgiving feast hosted jointly by the Carthage Lions Club and the Carthage Elks Lodge.
The feast, which takes place Thursday at the Elks Lodge, 511 Fulton St., features turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and dessert. Two times are available, 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., as well as deliveries for those who cannot make it to the Elks Lodge.
Anyone is welcome "who wants a sense of community and family," community organizer Adam D. Fuller said. For the elderly, single members of the military or spouses and families of deployed soldiers, "the community can be a big family," Mr. Fuller said.
