Retired teachers group sets final meeting Dec. 2
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2009
CANTON — Members of the former St. Lawrence Area Retired Teachers Association will meet at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 2 at Asian Buffet to vote on disbursal of its funds. A meal will follow.
The meeting is to shut down the organization. No one wanted to become an officer and the group hasn't met for more than a year, according to Edward D. Petty, the organization's last president.
