Free Thanksgiving concert to highlight food pantry

LOWVILLE — A free Thanksgiving concert, also featuring a presentation on the food pantry's new location, will be held here tonight.

The "Thanks for Thanksgiving" program will begin at 7 at the United Methodist Church, 7618 N. State St.

It will feature the Lowville Jazz Orchestra, along with other vocal and instrumental groups, and a slide presentation of the recent move of the Lowville Food Pantry to 7636 N. State St.

Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the pantry. A braised beef dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $4 for children ages 5 to 10 and $8.50 for ages 11 and older. For dinner tickets, call the church office at 376-2123.
