Stephen M. Hunt II, Gov. Paterson's north country regional director, will start a new job Monday as district director for Rep. William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh.
Mr. Hunt, a 1998 Watertown High School graduate, will oversee all constituent service, manage the in-district offices and be the congressman's community liaison. He'll be based in Watertown.
"Constituent service is my number one priority as a member of Congress, and Steve has the experience to hit the ground running and help make sure that anyone who calls for help from me or my office is getting exactly what they need," said Mr. Owens in a statement.
Mr. Hunt, 29, has worked in the governor's Watertown office since February 2007. He worked in the Assembly majority office prior to that.
The Watertown native received an associate degree in business administration from Jefferson Community College, Watertown, in 2000. He received a bachelor's degree in public policy from Albany University in May 2002.
Mr. Hunt lives in Chaumont with his wife, Ayesha, and their two children, Rosamond, 2, and Maxwell J., 11 months.
