A Herrings man was arrested early Monday on allegations that he threw a woman to the floor in her city apartment and kicked her, according to Watertown police.

Ryan J. Childers, 26, of 24509 First St., was being held without bail in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building after being arraigned in City Court on charges of felony criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief and harassment.

Police charged him in an incident that occurred Sunday afternoon. The victim, Tina M. Delaney, 35, of 119 N. Orchard St., suffered face and arm injuries, police said.

Mr. Childers was sentenced Nov. 6 in Jefferson County Court to a one-year conditional discharge on a harassment conviction, stemming from an incident in which he grabbed Ms. Delaney during an argument.
