CLAYTON — The 47th annual Christmas parade featuring lights, floats and fireworks will be Dec. 5 in the village.
The theme for this year's parade is "Home for the Holidays." The parade will start at 6 p.m. on Webb Street, go down Riverside Drive and end on James Street by St. Mary's Catholic Church. Immediately following the parade, there will be fireworks and a bonfire at the Frink site on Riverside Drive on the bank of the St. Lawrence River.
The Christmas Parade Committee is seeking donations to fund the parade. Donations can be made to the Clayton Christmas Parade, 500 Riverside Drive, Clayton, N.Y. 13624.
The committee also will accept nonperishable food items for the local food pantry on the day of the parade. Reinman's Department Store's staff will collect food items along the route of the parade.
