Thomas Jessie Robare, 74 of New Kensington, PA died SUN June 7, 2009 in his home. He was born in Norwood, NY on DEC 6, 1934 to the late Maurice "Tody" and Leone McNulty Robare and had lived in New Kensington since 1973. He had previously resided in Port Lavaca, TX; Maryville,TN; Massena NY.

He was a Chemical and Environmental Engineer for ALCOA retiring with 38 yrs. of service.

Tom was a member of St. Joseph R C Church, New Kensington and a graduate of Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY with a degree in Engineering. He enjoyed golf, football, hockey and was a college hockey player and coach.

At the time of his death he was survived by his wife of 51 yrs. Geraldine M. Goodrow Robare

Children: Kevin M. Robare (Karen) ; Jeffrey T. Robare; Kim M. Robare (James B.) Gatto all of New Kensington and Randy W. (Ellen) Robare, Portage, MI.

Grandchildren: Tyler, Jennifer, Brent, Cameron and Nicholas Robare and Ryan and Quentin Gatto.

Great grandson Ace Walter Hickman.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Robbie M. Robare and a brother Charles Robare.

He will be laid to rest alongside his wife on FRI NOV 27, 2009.

Geraldine M. (Goodrow) Robare, 74 of New Kensington, died MON NOV 23, 2009 in Amber Woods, Cheswick. She was born in Malone, NY on FEB 21, 1935 to the late Harold and Alice Beedy Goodrow and had lived in New Kensington since 1973. She had previously lived in Port Lavaca, TX; Maryville TN; Massena and Malone NY.

She had worked as a Loan Officer in Banking.

Geraldine was a member of St. Joseph Church, New Kensington; the Burrellton Women's Club where she had been a past president and past treasure; River Forest Country Club where she was a member of the Ladies Golf League; and the Ladies Bowling League at Hillcrest Lanes in Lower Burrell. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and cards, especially Bridge.

She is survived by her children: Kevin M. Robare (Karen); Jeffrey T. Robare; Kim M. Robare (James B.) Gatto all of New Kensington and Randy W. (Ellen) Robare of Portage, MI.

Grandchildren: Tyler, Jennifer, Brent, Cameron and Nicholas Robare and Ryan and Quentin Gatto. Great Grandson Ace Walter Hickman.

A sister Carol Bashant of Naples, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Robare; a son Robbie M. Robare and a sister Theresa Hanna.

Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Today and from 2-4 & 6-8 PM WED at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell 724-335-4118, where prayers of transfer will be said FRI at 9:30 AM followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Mt. St. Peter Church, New Kensington. Private burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
