Rep. Owens will serve on House subcommittees

Rep. William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, will serve on the Air and Land Forces and Strategic Forces subcommittees of the House Armed Services Committee.

The Air and Land Forces Subcommittee oversees the Army, Air Force and National Guard and their operations. The Strategic Forces Subcommittee works on nuclear weaponry, intelligence and the military's assets in space.

Mr. Owens has not yet received his subcommittee assignments on the Homeland Security Committee.
