POTSDAM — As part of its grand-opening celebrations, the Route 56 Lowe's store will match the dollar amount of all gift cards purchased on Dec. 10 with a donation to Habitat for Humanity.

The home improvement store plans to donate up to $5,000 to the Raquette Valley chapter of the nonprofit organization. Lowe's will present its donation in the form of a gift card that the Habitat for Humanity group can use toward supplies for its home-building projects.

The Potsdam Lowe's is set to open its doors on Dec. 4, and will have a grand-opening ceremony on Dec. 10.
