The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department will hold five H1N1 vaccine clinics for emergency response personnel next week.

Deborah M. Kent, Public Health interim director, said Wednesday that the clinics are geared toward first responders.

"There has been some controversy over who is considered a first responder, but if someone is of the opinion they are a first responder, I think they should be able to come to the clinics," she said.

All clinics will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. The first is Monday at the Potsdam Rescue Squad building.

Clinics will also be held Tuesday at the Massena and Canton fire stations, and Wednesday at the Gouverneur and Ogdensburg fire stations.
