MADRID — A fall seed expo for farmers is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Madrid Community Center.
Farmers can register by today for the program, which will include information on 2009 seed corn trials, by calling Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County, 379-9192.
The corn silage trials were conducted at Greenwood Dairy in Potsdam, W.H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute in Chazy, and Robbins Farms in Sackets Harbor. Data for the Canton and Chazy trials already is posted on www.nnyagdev.org.
The Madrid program also includes seed company representatives and Mary Beth DeOndarva of Paradox Nutrition.
