NORFOLK — Tyler Murray scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Norwood-Norfolk boys hockey team to a 5-2 win over St. Lawrence Central in a Northern Athletic Conference Division II game Wednesday.
It was the season opener for both teams. Thomas Plumb added one goal and two assists for the Flyers. Alex Ploof and Josh Tiernan also tallied goals.
Jack Keenan and Zach Baldwin scored for the Larries.
SALMON RIVER 5, TUPPER LAKE 1
Oakley Thomas scored two goals to lead the Shamrocks in a Division II matchup in Fort Covington.
Evan Thompson and Clay Thomas each added a goal and an assist, and Blake Tarbell also scored for Salmon River (1-0).
Zach Meade scored for Tupper Lake (0-2).
OFA 1, POTSDAM 1
Drew Costigan scored off assists from Dustin Harper and Grant Prudhomme at 10:07 of the second period to give the Blue Devils a tie with the Sandstoners in the season opener for each team.
The game served as an NAC interdivision game. Seth Adams scored for Potsdam earlier in the period with Matt Merriman assisting.

GOUVERNEUR 48, OGDENSBURG 21
The Wildcats received pins from six wrestlers in their season-opening Northern Athletic Conference victory over the Blue Devils at Gouverneur.
Darren Fuller (215 pounds), Kramer Jefferson (171), Zach Cummings (160), Kevin Fuller (140), Richard Jesmer (135) and Skylar Way (119) won by pinfall for Gouverneur.
OFA's individual victories were highlighted by pins from Josh Heaton (130) and Andy Rickett (125) and a win by decision from Kris Folsom at 189 pounds.
MASSENA 45, CANTON 19
Three wrestlers won by pin for Massena in a win over the Golden Bears in a Northern Athletic Conference meet in Canton. It was the opener for both teams.
Massena's pins came from Robert Rochefort (145 pounds), Dan Shirley (130) and Zach Wiley (140).
Ed Foote won by pin at 135 pounds for Canton.
CLIFTON-FINE 48, MALONE 22
Four Eagles won by pin as Clifton-Fine took the season-opener from Malone in Star Lake.
Jacob Demmon (140 pounds), Cole Tristram (215), Ryan Leroux (119) and Evan Popham (125) registered pins for Clifton-Fine.
Dan Tower (145) and Ryan Spinner (130) won by pin for the Huskies.

The Comets recorded five pins en route to a runaway "C" Division victory over the Beavers in the season opener at Sandy Creek.
Jake Benedict (103 pounds), Zach Pfluger (112), Derek Pfluger (135), Kris Shirley (145) and Jared Soule (152) each pinned his opponent for Sandy Creek.
CARTHAGE 33, COPENHAGEN 30
Shayne Brady (130 pounds), Jesse DeMarco (152) and Vincent Renzi (189) all pinned their opponents as the Comets (1-0) edged the Golden Knights in an interdivision matchup in Carthage.
Robbie Harris (112), Brandon Dicob (135), Philip Clarke (160) and Dylan Eddy (215) notched pins for Copenhagen (0-1).

The Panthers swept the Rebels, 25-9, 25-15, 25-16 in a Frontier League interdivision game in Belleville.
Sophie Young had 17 points and five aces, and Caitlin Grimshaw added 13 points and eight aces to lead Belleville Henderson (1-1).
