Staff Sgt. Dennis J. Hansen, 31, Scottsville, formerly of Indian Lake, Ohio

Staff Sgt. Dennis J. Hansen, 31, of Scottsville, New York and formerly of Indian Lake, Ohio passed away at 12:01 p.m. EST Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany as a result of injuries sustained in Afghanistan. He was a U.S. Soldier stationed at Fort Drum, New York, serving in the 3rd Brigade 1-32 Infantry Regiment and was later attached to 3-71 CAV Squadron during his deployment in Afghanistan.

Rev. John B. Ellington, Jr. and Pastor Barry Baughman will officiate the funeral service at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Indian Lake High School, Lewistown, Ohio where friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Indian Lake High School, Lewistown. Burial will take place at Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dennis Hansen Scholarship Fund.
