CANTON — A Syracuse woman could serve up to six months in St. Lawrence County jail for stabbing her boyfriend.

Esther A. Watson,22, pleaded guilty Monday in St. Lawrence County Court before Judge Jerome J. Richards to second-degree assault, a felony. She also could receive five years' probation when sentenced Feb. 1.

She admitted to stabbing Willie Davis, 19, Syracuse, in the back once with a knife Aug. 25 during an argument at a Jonesville Road home in the town of Hermon. Mr. Davis reportedly wanted to break up with Ms. Watson when she stabbed him, state police said. An unidentified person then jumped on her, pinning her down until troopers arrived.

She was indicted on charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

In other court proceedings:

Benjamin D. Miller Jr.,32, Massena, pleaded innocent to charges of second-degree rape and child-endangerment charges in an unsealed indictment.

He is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl in fall 2005. He was released under probation supervision and a protection order was issued for the victim.

In October, a St. Lawrence County jury acquitted him on charges of first-degree rape and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child. He was accused of having sex beginning in 2005 in Norfolk with a then-7-year-old girl. The alleged crimes continued through Nov. 29, 2008, in Massena, it was claimed in court.

Andrew G. Baker,17, Hopkinton, pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree sexual abuse and single counts each of second-degree abuse and child endangerment in an unsealed indictment.

He is accused of repeatedly touching the private parts of a then-10-year-old boy from December 2008 to June in the town of Hopkinton.

Judge Richards ordered him not to be around children 17 or younger unless supervised. He was released under probation supervision on electronic home monitoring.

Dwayne R. Bent,28, of 1945 McGraw Ave., Bronx, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was among four people charged in a May 28 drug raid in the city of Ogdensburg. He admitted to possessing cocaine when the apartment was raided. The plea agreement calls for him also to forfeit $700 in cash. He will be sentenced Feb. 22.

Vincent T. Enslow,26, of 8604 Route 56, Raymondville, pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree burglary. He confessed to breaking into 1660 County Route 53 in the town of Brasher on Dec. 26. He will be sentenced Feb. 1.

Delwin R. Young Sr.,49, of 5 Perkins Road, Massena, pleaded guilty to petit larceny after successfully completing one year of interim probation. Judge Richards allowed him to vacate his felony fourth-degree grand larceny plea from last December.

He was accused of accepting three checks totaling $15,700 from Ina M. Brockriede between Sept. 24 and Nov. 2, 2007, to repair a roof and replace windows. He reportedly did one day of work and used $700 in materials and labor. He returned $2,000 to Ms. Brockriede on Nov. 2, but allegedly still owes her $13,000.

Mr. Young was ordered to pay $15,070 in restitution, and a protection order was issued for Ms. Brockriede, Judge Richards said.
