Watertown Police responded at 3:45 p.m. Saturday to the Solar Building, 206 Franklin St., to a report of an armed robbery.

An unidentified male was transported to Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, with a minor head injury after "more than one" person reportedly broke into his apartment, a city police sergeant said Saturday night.

"He'll probably need a few stitches to close it up," he said.

The masked assailants allegedly stole a television while in the apartment, the sergeant said.

A Jefferson County dispatcher said that, despite being initially reported, a gun was not fired during the incident. Police would not release any additional information late Saturday .
