Clarkson classmates Shea Guthrie and Phil Paquet are once again teammates after Guthrie was traded from the Utah Grizzlies to the Florida Everblades on Dec. 15.
Guthrie, a forward, was Clarkson's assistant captain last year while Paquet, a defenseman, was the co-captain with Tyrell Mason.
Another of last year's seniors, forward Mike Willemsen, is on his third team of the season after he was signed by the Tulsa Oilers on Dec. 18.
D'Alvise Adjusting Well to Pro Game
Chris D'Alvise, another senior from last year's squad, is making an impact for the Stockton (Calif.) Thunder this season.
"I'm still learning, but you always want to bring your best, everyone does, and you just have to maintain that level of play," D'Alvise told the Stockton Record. "Things started great, then I went through a slump and it was tough. I hated coming to the rink and stuff. I kind of felt stuff would just come to me, but I know it's more than that."
D'Alvise has also impressed his coach Matt Thomas, who told the Record, "Rookies can have rough times. But in the (six games) since he sat out, he has arguably been the best player on the ice for us. He went through a seven- or eight-game span where he wasn't playing too well, but I don't think you'll see that again from Chris D'Alvise because he's just too good a player."
