MASSENA — The Rite Aid store in Harte Haven Plaza will be closing this month.
The store will close temporarily on Wednesday to conduct an inventory and reopen again Jan. 23 for a liquidation sale, company officials said.
"It was a business decision," spokeswoman Ashley A. Flower said. "It's not one we'd like to make or want to make."
The store's 10 employees will be transferred to other stores in the area.
When it closes Wednesday, customers' prescriptions will be immediately transferred to the Main Street location, which is newer and has a drive-through window.
The final closing date is currently uncertain and will depend on how quickly the store sells its merchandise, Miss Flower said.
