OGDENSBURG — A 22-year-old Ogdensburg man was arrested on Monday, for the third time in three days.
Mitchell W. LaRose, no address given, was charged with petit larceny after allegedly shoplifting items from Kinney Drugs at 11:34 a.m., according to Ogdensburg city police.
Police were called to the store by an employee who said there was an alleged shoplifter fighting with employees in the parking lot. Police said that when they arrived, Mr. LaRose was pinned to the ground by Kinney employees. He was reportedly taken into custody without incident.
Mr. LaRose was arraigned and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $1,500 bond.
The night before, he was arrested at the Sunoco on Canton Street. Police were called there at 10:39 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports that there was a man refusing to leave. Police said Mr. LaRose was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic needle and was ticketed for littering.
That arrest came on the heels of another petit larceny charge. Mr. LaRose was charged at 3:22 p.m. Saturday after allegedly stealing items from Olympia Sports in Ogdensburg. He also was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle. He was arraigned on those charges Saturday and released to the supervision of probation.
