Hermon-DeKalb rallies to gain victory

DEKALB JUNCTION — Jon Peters generated 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as Hermon-DeKalb held off Harrisville for a 74-59 boys basketball victory Monday to remain unbeaten in the Northern Athletic Conference West Division.

Dylan Amo scored 12 points, and Chris Wentzell added 12 points, five steals and four rebounds for the Demons (9-1 overall, 7-0 league), who took control with a 30-7 third quarter. Logan Allen added seven rebounds.

Colin Baker hit four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points for Harrisville (5-4, 5-2), which led by four at halftime. Jason Thomas scored 16 points and Gavin Kiggins 12.

EDWARDS-KNOX 63, C-F 39

David Bullock tallied 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds and collected three steals, and Jon Davison added 15 points, six rebounds and six steals to pace the Cougars over the Eagles.

Ben Fuller added six assists and seven points while Tyler Davis finished with 10 points.

Tim Fetterhoff paced Clifton-Fine with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Thomas McCormick added 11 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks. Kyle Blackmer chipped in 11 points.

HEUVELTON 46, HAMMOND 30

David Putman generated 17 points and Zach Limoges added nine to pace the Bulldogs past Hammond playing without starter Griff Stark Ennis, who was injured.

Taylor Kenyon posted nine points and 12 rebounds for Hammond. Ian Mann scored 12 points.

Michael Boyea supplied 11 points and Eric Dwyer added 10 points for the Bulldogs (8-0, 7-0) in an East Division victory at Chateaugay.

Jordan Kendall registered 10 points for the Yellow Jackets (6-2, 4-2).

Austin Dunlavey scored 21 points as Malone edged Norwood-Norfolk 10-7 in overtime to gain the victory. Jake Gravel and Jared Heden followed with 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Jared Pollock scored 15, Pat Sassone added 14 and Andrew and Adam Stone scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Flyers.

JP Dumas tossed in 22 points and Brady Condlin added 17 more as the Raiders stormed out to a 34-19 halftime lead at Massena. Nick O'Neill scored 12 points for Tupper Lake.

Chris Whispell scored 21 points, John Coleman had 20, and Zach Adams and Scott Bartenstein each logged 14 points each to pace the Sandstoners past the Wildcats in a Central Division game. Alex Bush scored 19 points to pace Gouverneur.

Dave Crowder tallied 17 points and Jake Rishe and Gene Bouyer followed with 14 and 11 for the Blue Devils in a Central Division victory. Tyler Thomas and tallied 10 points for Canton.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MORRISTOWN 54, LISBON 48 (2 OT)

Morristown's Liz Whalen hit her second of two free throws with no time left in regulation to send the game into overtime, and the senior forward finished with seven overtime points to give the Rockets the double overtime win over Lisbon in a West Division game.

Both teams were deadlocked at 41-41 after first overtime and Morristown outscored Lisbon 13-7 in the second. Amanda Bertrand and Clair Plummer each scored four points in the extra sessions.

Whalen finished with 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Rockets. Amanda Bertrand scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Plummer chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds while Marshall finished with 12 points. Porter collected 11 assists.

Jaclyn Moore powered the Knights with 24 points.

Madrid-Waddington claimed a victory over Parishville-Hopkinton in an NAC East Division game.

Kristin King delivered 12 points, nine rebounds and four steals to pace Madrid-Waddington. Alex Martin generated 14 points and posted 13 rebounds.
