Today's blog entry will be shorter than usual, and won't feature video, because Clarkson took a day off from practice.

The Golden Knights will face Cornell and Colgate at home this weekend, games three and four of a six-game homestand.

Friday's Clarkson Notes will feature freshman forward Peter Massar, who was planning on redshirting this season after suffering a groin injury early in the year.

Massar began to feel better during Christmas break and has been skating in practice the last two weeks.

There will also be a look ahead to this weekend's games with the Central New York rivals and an announcement about a replacement for Jean-Francois Houle as assistant coach, for both the rest of this year and beyond.

Be sure to check Friday's online edition for the Clarkson Notes.
