OGDENSBURG — The city Planning Board has approved expansion of the Ogdensburg Pepsi-Cola Bottlers plant, 1001 Mansion Ave., so that Dasher Inc. can run a redemption center there.

The board voted 6-0 Tuesday to approve the 3,600-square-foot building and associated parking improvements, with Chairman Timothy J. Redmond, who has a residence neighboring the property, abstaining.

Scott M. Wright of Ogdensburg Pepsi-Cola Bottlers has said he expects construction to cost about $100,000. The operation will require two additional employees and he hopes to have the redemption facility up and running this spring.
