WOODVILLE — Adrian Merle Elliott, 88, beloved husband of 60 years, father of 9, grandfather of 9, & great-grandfather, passed away on Thursday, January 28th, in Richmond, VA after a brief illness.
Adrian, of Mechanicsville, VA, formerly of Woodville, NY and Greenville, NY. Son of the late T. Merritt and Ruth E. (Ingalls) Elliott of Greenville, NY. Adrian married Edna R. (Jennings) Elliott in East Durham, NY, October 6th 1949. Mr. Elliott owned and operated a family dairy farm on Old Plank Road in Greenville from 1949 to 1978 and moved to a 400-acre farm in Woodville, NY in 1978. Adrian Elliott was a Master of the Catskill Valley Grange; and member of New York State Farm Bureau and Dairylea Cooperative. He drove school bus at the Greenville Central School for 10 years. Adrian and Edna retired to Virginia in the early 1990s.
Survived by his children: Gail Elliott, of VA; William "Bill" and Marla Elliott of Adams Center, NY; Carol Elliott of VA; David and Debbie Elliott of Adams, NY; Roger, Theodore "Ted", and Gary and Eve Elliott, all of Fort Plain, NY, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Elliott. Survived by 8 grandchildren, Justin, Jaime Hoyman, Christopher A. "Farley," David Shaffer, Kari, Aaron, Jordan & Cole; 4 great-grandchildren, Dylan Fredrick, Kyla Elliott, Tanner & Zeke Hoyman. Survived by sisters Irene Williams, Betty McAneny. Sisters-in-law, Lynn Elliott, Marquerite Elliott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his son, Raymond Elliott, 1963; his first born son, Thomas A. Elliott, 2003; first born grandson, Thomas "Tommy" Merritt Elliott, 2005. Sisters Muriel Garrison, Clarice Adamson. Brothers Robert "Bob" Elliott, & Ronald Elliott.
