As a 1990 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central and lettering in three sports, it angers me to read that the Section 3 Classification Committee is allowing people from Sandy Creek to push the issue of moving IHC up to a higher class because they have had two great seasons.

We are going to penalize the kids who have the heart to go out each week and play hard all because they win too much. Is moving them to another level to play against schools two to three times their size the correct answer?

The classification speaks for itself. Class D enrollments range up to 259 and IHC will have approximately 140 students next year. IHC needs to stay in Class D where they belong and send a box of Kleenex to the Sandy Creek athletic director/coach. His energy should be directed toward his own players and improving their own game, not tearing down our kids for a job well done.

Shame on anyone that listens to this ludicrous decision.
