Caroline Harrigan

MASSENA — Funeral services for Caroline A. Harrigan, 67, of Massena will be Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home, 64 Andrews St., Massena.

Caroline passed away on Feb. 3, 2010 at Massena Memorial Hospital.

Caroline is survived by a daughter and two sons, Scott E. and wife Hella Jacob of Amherst, N.Y., William J. of Syracuse, Lisa M. Harrigan of Massena; grandchildren, Cian Harrigan, Heila and Willa Jacob.

She was born July 9, 1942 in Trenton, N.J., the daughter of Ferdinand and Helen (Maloney) Mayer. She attended Canton ATC. She married Ernest W. Harrigan on Jan. 28, 1962 at the Church of the Sacred Heart. The marriage ended in divorce.

She was employed previously in Rochester before relocating to Massena. She was an administrative assistant for the Massena Housing Authority, for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed writing poetry and had the privilege of having some published. She also enjoyed oil and acrylic painting, and photography.
