CANTON — Karlee Shields scored two goals to lead the St. Lawrence University women's hockey team to a 5-0 win over Union College in an ECAC Hockey game at Appleton Arena Friday.
The Saints (13-9-7 overall, 9-5-3 conference) also received goals from Tara Akstull, Kayla Sullivan and Michelle Ng. Brittony Chartier and Nikki Bongaerts combined to make 15 saves in goal.
RENSSELAER 3, CLARKSON 1
Allison Wright, Allysen Weidner and Sydney O'Keefe scored to lead the Engineers (12-10-6, 9-4-4) past third-ranked Clarkson in an ECAC Hockey game at Cheel Arena in Potsdam.
Dominique Thibault scored the only goal for Clarkson (19-7-3, 13-3-1).

Andrew Alarie scored a power-play goal at 11 minutes, 33 seconds of the third period to give SUNY Morrisville a win over the Bears in Potsdam.
Alarie finished with three goals.

Terry Parham, Josh Sharlow and Ralph Temgoua scored 11 points each as the Saints (11-9, 7-2) raced past Vassar in a Liberty League game in Poughkeepsie.
Caleb McGraw scored 19 points for Vassar (2-17, 0-8).

Ricky Philatre led RPI (12-6, 4-4) with 11 points in a Liberty League win against the Golden Knights in Troy.
Elson Pickering scored 11 points and Jonathan Hood added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Clarkson (10-9, 4-5).

Justin Mitchell scored 19 points as the Bengals (8-10, 6-6) downed the Bears in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam.
Orlando Minott supplied 15 points for SUNY Potsdam (3-15, 2-11), while Curtis Pierce, Ben Walker and Anthony Williams each added 13 points.

Katherine Edgerton's 22 pointssparked the Saints (13-6, 5-4) over Vassar in a Liberty League game in Poughkeepsie.
Casey Capello tossed in 19 for SLU, while Emily Haeuser and Tori Chaltain both scored 10 for Vassar (7-11, 3-5).

Whitney Coleman scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Engineers past the Golden Knights in a Liberty League game in Troy.

Three players scored in double figures as the Bears won their fifth game in a row .

SPRINGFIELD JOINS LIBERTY LEAGUE
Liberty League president Jim McLaughlin announced Friday that Springfield College will join the conference as an associate member in football beginning with the 2012 season.
Springfield will join Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the United States Merchant Marine Academy as conference associate memebers in football.
Beginning in the 2011-12 academic year, Bard College and RITy will join the league as full members, while Hamilton College will depart.
