Sarah Schwartz, Michael Burleigh

Mark and Marilyn Schwartz, Plattsburgh, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Schwartz, Plattsburgh, to Michael Burleigh, also of Plattsburgh.

Miss Schwartz is the granddaughter of the late Bill and Joy Schwartz, formerly of West Carthage, and the niece of Garry and Amanda Schwartz and Julie and Kevin Lawton, all of Carthage. She is a 2000 graduate of Seton Catholic Central School, Plattsburgh. She graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and in 2009 with a master’s degree in childhood education with dual certifications in early childhood education and students with disabilities and for teaching first through sixth grades. She is a special education teacher at Rouses Point Elementary School in the Northeastern Clinton Central School District, Champlain.

Mr. Burleigh, son of David and Carol Burleigh, Plattsburgh, is a 1999 graduate of Seton Catholic Central School. He is a plumber and pipe-fitter for Local 773 Union.

A May 29 wedding is planned.
