Hammond teen accused

of having stolen property

HAMMOND — Jimmy R. Sherron Jr., 16, of 2393 County Route 6, was charged Saturday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, state police in Ogdensburg said.

Troopers said the teen was found in possession of a 10-horsepower engine and miscellaneous generator parts that were reported stolen earlier in the day from a building at 323 Lake St. He was released on an appearance ticket.

Massena motorist cited

with cocaine possession

MASSENA — Scott M. Douillet, 34, of 171/2 Parker St., was charged early Saturday with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, state police said.

Troopers said he had a small amount of cocaine when his vehicle was stopped on Route 56 in the town of Louisville. He was released on an appearance ticket.

had cocaine, two needles

Watertown city police charged Frank D. Lavancha II, 32, of 212 N. Rutland St., Upper Apt., with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle at 4 a.m. Saturday at his residence.

Police said Mr. Lavancha possessed a white substance, which tested positive as cocaine, and two hypodermic needles at his residence.

He was processed at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and released on an appearance ticket for Watertown City Court.

Watertown woman cited

over damage to dresser

Watertown city police charged Cheryl A. Dennis, 44, of 130 Court St., Apt. 304, with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 12:46 a.m. Saturday at the residence of Cicero F. Holmes Jr., 621 Academy St., where she is accused of breaking a wooden dresser drawer.

She was processed Saturday and held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in Watertown Town Court.

Man is accused of yelling,

banging on building doors

Cleveland Ballard Jr., 38, of 232 W. Main St., Apt. 44, was charged with disorderly conduct by city police at 1:15 a.m. Saturday at his residence after he allegedly banged on the doors and yelled in the hallway of the apartment building.

He was held Saturday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in Watertown Town Court.

struck another in the face

Erica K. Curnutte, 20, of 232 W. Main St., Apt. 42-A, is summoned to City Court to answer a charge of second-degree harassment.

She is accused of hitting Mary A. Peto, 49, of 817 Mill St., in the face on the night of Jan. 19 at the Peto residence, according to Watertown police.

Alleged stabbing threat

leads to man's arrest

Watertown police charged Robert J. Gould, 50, of 232 W. Main St., Apt. 31-B, with third-degree menacing and third-degree possession of weapon at 1:50 p.m. Friday after he allegedly threatened to stab a man with a knife.

Police said Mr. Gould threatened to stab Jeffery A. Dickinson with a 12-inch blade Friday afternoon at Northland Motor Technologies, 968 Bradley St.

Mr. Gould was processed and held Saturday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment.

3 charged with fighting

Saturday in parking lot

Three soldiers were accused of fighting in the front parking lot of Travelodge early Saturday.

Jeremy S. Quada, 22, of 700 Phalen Drive, Apt. 709-D, Copenhagen, Robert D. Stewart, 28, of 636 Boyd St., Apt. 3, and Stefan M. Squillate, 26, 26612 Boyer Circle, Evans Mill, were charged with disorderly conduct by Watertown city police at 2:10 a.m. Saturday at 104 Breen Ave.

They were issued appearance tickets for Watertown City Court and released to military police Saturday.
