■ CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Planning Board on Jan. 14 unanimously re-elected officers to two-year terms. Douglas B. Welch will continue as chairman, Thomas L. Jenison as vice chairman, and Dawn K. Mullaney as secretary.
■ LOWVILLE — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday for the new village police station being built behind the town office on Bostwick Street. Village officials plan to move all offices from their aging municipal building on Dayan Street to Bostwick Street.
■ MORRISTOWN — The St. Lawrence County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Morristown fire hall, 200 Morris St., to help update the county's 2001 agriculture development plan. Participants may discuss agriculture in the county.
