Man listed as fair after shot to chest

HEUVELTON — A 20-year-old man was in fair condition Sunday afternoon at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest Saturday evening.

St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies said they responded to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday at the home of Dale J. Henry, 170 State St. Deputies said Mr. Henry was shot in the chest by a .22-caliber rifle.

He was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg, and transferred to Upstate Medical University. No further information was available; deputies are continuing their investigation. There was no telephone listing for Mr. Henry.
