A Hogansburg woman was arrested in Watertown Monday after the Border Patrol and state park police alleged finding 75 pounds of marijuana in her vehicle.

Whitney M. Roundpoint, 22, of 19 McDonald Road, Hogansburg, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. Within an hour after she was placed in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, she posted bail of $5,000, set by Brownville Town Justice Richard M. Parker, and was released. She awaits grand jury action.

Police said the marijuana has a street value exceeding $300,000.

The woman's companion, Lacey A. Jackson, 28, Hogansburg, was cited wth unlawful possession of marijuana. She was released and ordered to appear at a later date in City Court.
