ALEXANDRIA BAY — McKenzie Garlock recorded a hat trick, including the game-winning goal in overtime, and dished out two assists as Alexandria edged Salmon River 7-6 in a Northern Athletic Conference Division II hockey game on Tuesday.

Tony Bobkoskie scored a pair of goals, Josh Slocum supplied a goal and five assists and Jason Heath added a goal and two assists for Alexandria (7-9, 4-8).

Adam Bombery scored three goals for Salmon River (7-8-2, 5-5-2).

ST. LAWRENCE 10, MALONE 2

Blake Baldwin, Kyle Strader and Charles Dullea each scored two goals to lead the Larries (13-6, 9-2) past the Huskies in a Division II game in Brasher Falls.

Brady Helmer, Mark Peets, Zach Baldwin and Tim Joanette also scored for the Larries. Tanner Studlack and Peter Laramee scored for Malone (2-15, 0-11).

SKANEATELES 6, ONTARIO BAY 1

Dan Tarolli scored two third-period goals as the Lakers cruised to a Section 3 Division II West victory in Pulaski.

John Bronk and Jon Rogalia each added a goal and an assist for Skaneateles (13-4-1, 11-2-1).

Justin Geddings stopped 31 shots as Ontario Bay (11-8-1, 7-8-1) wrapped up its season.

BOYS BASKETBALL

CARTHAGE 52, CHITTENANGO 47

Nick Piroli posted 18 points, including five 3-point goals, seven steals and three assists to guide the Comets to the nonleague victory at Chittenango.

Patrick Estepp put up 10 points, and Dion Lightner handed out seven assists for Carthage (6-10), while the team's leading scorer Hunter Craig left the game with an ankle injury in the second quarter.

Mike Scott scored 15 points, and Steve Mesmer added 10 points for Chittenango.

CHATEAUGAY 39,

MADRID-WADDINGTON 32

Alex Stalter scored 13 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Yellow Jackets in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division game at Madrid.

Michael Boyea added 10 points for the first-place Chateaugay (17-1 overall, 14-0 division).

Jordon Kendall led Madrid-Waddington (11-6, 8-5) with 15 points in their home finale.

HARRISVILLE 44

The Demons received 13 points from Dylan Amo' to get past the Pirates in a West Division game in Harrisville.

Logan Allen scored 11 points and Jon Peters tossed in 10 for Hermon-DeKalb (15-3, 12-2).

Jason Thomas led Harrisville (8-8, 8-6) with 14 point, while Alec Weir scored 12 points.

LISBON 68, MORRISTOWN 44

Ryan Akins led Lisbon (14-4, 12-2) with 15 points in a West Division victory against host Morristown.

Eric Mehaffy scored 12 points and Scott Lawton tossed in 10 for the Golden Knights (14-4, 12-2).

Dave Putman scored 12 points and Al Ashley added 10 to lead the Bulldogs (12-6, 8-5) past the Red Devils in a West Division game in Heuvelton.

Travis Amo led the Cougars (11-6, 10-4) with nine points in a West Division win over the Eagles in Russell.

Zach Adams produced 17 points for the Sandstoners in a Central Division win over Gouverneur (6-10, 3-8) in Potsdam.

Josh Adams and John Coleman both contributed 13 points for Potsdam (17-1, 9-1).

Jared Morrow led the Blue Devils with 16 points in a Central Division win in Canton.

Gene Bouyer tallied 14 points and Jake Rishe added 12 for OFA (14-4, 7-2).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

INDIAN RIVER 43, APW 31

Jessica Dailey scored 18 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out six assists to help guide the Warriors to the "A/B" crossover victory over the Rebels at Parish.

Taylore Kelsey scored 10 points, and Emily Kuba pulled down 12 rebounds for Indian River (10-7).

Jessica Peters scored 11 points for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (5-12).

VOLLEYBALL

LOWVILLE 3, JORDAN-ELBRIDGE 0

Taylor Sterner supplied 17 service points, four aces and four kills in the No. 7 Red Raiders' 25-13, 25-8, 25-13 Section 3 Class B first-round victory at Lowville.

Lahni Duffer contributed 10 points, 11 assists and three kills, Katie O'Brien registered nine assists and five kills, and Hayley Strife posted eight kills and three blocks for Lowville (13-4), which plays at No. 2 Skaneateles at 6 p.m. Friday.

Alicia Norfolk recorded 11 digs, and Lindsy Geery handed out five assists for No. 10 Jordan-Elbridge (10-11).

SOUTH LEWIS 3, HERKIMER 0

Heather McManus recorded 15 kills and three aces to help the No. 9 Falcons to the 26-24, 25-11, 25-15 Class C-1 first-round victory over the No. 8 Magicians at Herkimer.

Miranda Gokey registered 21 assists and four aces, and Danielle Brown tallied 15 assists for South Lewis (10-11), which plays at top-seeded Tully at 6 p.m. Thursday.
