SUNY Canton's LaFave named player of year

CANTON — SUNY Canton women's basketball player Shannon LaFave has been named the Player of the Year in the Sunrise Conference.

LaFave, a junior forward from Ogdensburg, finished fifth in the conference in scoring with an average of 15 points per game. She ranked third in field goal percentage (.470), ninth in rebounding (6.4), and recorded three double-doubles in points and rebounds.

LaFave was also a first-team all conference selection.
