Bethany Bessette, James W. Allan

Thomas and Jeanette Bessette, Hermon, announce the engagement of their daughter, Bethany F. Bessette, Jay, to James W. Allan, also of Jay.

Miss Bessette is a 2003 graduate of Hermon-DeKalb Central School, DeKalb Junction, and received an applied associate's degree in business in 2006 from North Country Community College, Saranac Lake. She is employed in the business office at Elizabethtown Community Hospital.

Mr. Allan, son of Tracy Walsh, Wilmington, N.C., and the late James M. Allan, is a 2002 graduate of Wells Central School and a 2005 graduate of North Country Community College, where he received an applied associate's degree in computer graphics and design. He is a carpenter at D. Sheldon Builders, Keene Valley.

A July 17 wedding is planned.
